3-Year Integrated Degree with IAS Coaching
An integrated undergraduate pathway where you complete graduation while mastering the UPSC syllabus in parallel, saving crucial preparation years.
- Duration
- 3 years
- Who it is for
- Students entering degree after Intermediate / Class 12
- Mode
- Offline at Ashok Nagar Signals, Hyderabad, alongside degree academics
The three-year Degree with IAS programme runs undergraduate academics and the full UPSC General Studies syllabus on a single timetable. Instead of finishing a degree and then beginning preparation from zero at 21, a student completes graduation already having covered the syllabus once, with two or three years of analytical newspaper reading and answer writing behind them.
That head start matters more than it sounds. Static knowledge can be compressed into a year; current affairs sensibility and analytical writing cannot. They mature slowly, and the integrated model gives them the time they need while the degree proceeds normally.
The programme is designed so that the additional UPSC-specific load sits at around eight to ten hours a week — comparable to tuition in a single subject — because the degree curriculum and the GS syllabus overlap substantially in the humanities streams.
What the programme includes
- Degree academics and UPSC foundation run side by side
- Analytical thinking, answer writing and current affairs from year one
- Officer-like personality development from the degree stage
- Structured mentoring across all three years

Curriculum
What this programme covers, module by module
Every module is taught with both the Prelims and the Mains requirement in view, so a single pass through a subject serves both papers.
Year one — foundation
NCERT mastery across History, Geography, Polity and Economics; daily newspaper discipline; introduction to argument structure; degree academics fully supported.
Year two — standard syllabus
Standard sources for polity, modern history, geography and economy; monthly current affairs consolidation; weekly 250-word answer writing with evaluation; guided optional subject exploration.
Year three — exam mode
First complete GS pass finished, chosen optional taken up properly, entry into the All India Prelims test series, answer writing raised to three or four a week.
Degree stream guidance
Advice on choosing a graduation stream that overlaps with GS Paper II and a likely optional — Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics or History.
Personality development
Communication, composure, structured opinion-forming and current-affairs discussion treated as curriculum rather than as interview-season coaching.
Mentoring
Termly academic review covering both degree marks and UPSC progress, so neither track is allowed to slip unnoticed.
Study rhythm
How the calendar actually runs
- Daily
- Newspaper analysis session and a fixed UPSC study block around degree classes.
- Weekly
- Answer writing with evaluation and a discussion session on the week's major issues.
- Termly
- Academic review of both degree performance and UPSC coverage with a mentor.
- Annually
- A full syllabus audit and a plan for the coming year, including optional subject decisions.
Outcomes
What you leave the programme with
- Graduation completed on schedule, with UPSC syllabus covered in parallel
- Two to three years of analytical current affairs reading before your first attempt
- An optional subject chosen deliberately at 19 rather than in a hurry at 22
- A genuine first attempt in your graduation year rather than a trial run
- Officer-like communication and composure developed over years, not weeks
Questions
3-Year Integrated Degree with IAS Coaching — FAQs
Will the Degree with IAS programme affect my graduation marks?
In practice it usually helps. Humanities degree subjects overlap heavily with the UPSC General Studies syllabus, so the same reading serves both, and the programme includes termly academic reviews that track degree performance alongside UPSC coverage.
Which degree stream should I choose?
Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics and History overlap most with GS Paper II and with popular optional subjects. The programme includes guidance on this decision, which is strategic rather than administrative.
What if I decide against civil services during the degree?
You still complete your degree on schedule with unusually strong general awareness and trained analytical writing, both of which transfer directly to state services examinations, law entrance tests, journalism, policy research and management admissions.
