When will UPSC announce the interview schedule?

UPSC publishes the Personality Test schedule only on upsc.gov.in, in phases, after the Mains result. The dates on this page are editorial estimates based on historical gaps — always confirm on the official notice.

How do I know my individual interview date?

Through the e-summon letter issued on the UPSC portal and to your registered email. It states your date, session (morning or afternoon) and reporting time at Dholpur House, New Delhi.

How much notice is there between the Mains result and interviews?

Historically a matter of weeks, not months. That is why interview preparation should begin the day the Mains examination ends, not after the result.

How many marks does the UPSC interview carry?

The Personality Test carries 275 marks, added to the 1750 marks of the Mains written papers for the final merit list.
