Cyclone Arnab: Early Warnings, Inclusive Evacuations and Coastal Resilience

Cyclone Arnab crossed the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts on October 28, 2026, after rapidly intensifying, with five cyclone-related deaths reported by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. The central concern is that the agency has been unable to verify the status of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile since June 2025: damage to infrastructure does not establish that nuclear material has been destroyed or remains under safeguards.
